· Building alignment with internal Stakeholders at NBCUniversal across properties by designing roadshow presentation that focused on a sustainable competitive advantage for Peacock.

· Lead Service Design at KBA Architects firm to incorporate Human Centered Design into the spaces and experiences they create.

· Redesigned the Marketing website for HBO to increase viewer engagement. Helped create HBO Digital Brand across very strong individual Show Brands. Cultivated partnerships with engineering, marketing, sales and external agencies. Worked
with Executive Producer, Show Creators, and key Stakeholders to increase User Engagement and Subscriptions.

Created iterative plans for the rollout of differentiated products, services, digital and in person experiences for a hospitality group. Managing internal Operations Website, SEO, Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Print. Built  food delivery platforms. Monitored budget, marketing trends, coordinated priorities, adjusted strategies, increased profit.

The Fine Print.

 

At the age when most girls her age were busy collecting Charlie's Angels stickers and Brownie Badges, Barbara Buenz was busy building a collection of stamped passport pages and bound stacks of airmail correspondence. Born in Santiago to a Chilean mother and Dutch father, her childhood was spent in a whirlwind of continents and cities including Santiago, Mexico City, Chicago, Toronto, London and Bogotá. This shaped the way she sees the world - all related, same desires different iterations.

An experienced, strategic trilingual leader with an international and multicultural upbringing Barbara’s passionate about the space where people, brands, innovation and culture meet.

She’s dynamic, resilient, upbeat and un-fussy. A well-rounded multidisciplinary User Experience and Design Leader with over 20 years focused on human-centered design practice with extensive experience working on cross-functional teams. Her natural curiosity allows her to cultivate a deep understanding of users and their behaviors which results in products and experiences that make a difference in people’s lives.

A thinker and a doer Barbara is able to create and execute brilliant ideas across print, screen and space. She’s comfortable handling multiple projects and capable of taking them from concept through to completion. A natural in Adobe CC, she can articulate ideas on paper and face-to-face – internally and externally. She can design for digital media, for print media, and for 3D spaces she’s a whiz.

She’s a natural presenter of creative concepts from C Suite Executives to External Clients in a thoughtful and articulate manner. She’s able to work with different departments to maintain a consistently high output and to lead in the delivery of projects ensuring brand consistency.
